OK To Kill Puppies In Canada
"It's One Of The Most Popular Things Our Government Has Done" - Dalton McGuinty, Premier, Ontario, Canada
And that's a direct quote, friends, and one we feel certain this politician may live to regret. The Premier Of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, was defending Ontario's infamous breed ban - Bill 132 - in a interview.
Let it be known - for those of you yet unaware - that Ontario's breed ban -Bill 132 - calls for all pit bull puppies to be killed or shipped to research facilities - and if that makes you feel uncomfortable - that's a good sign. McGuinty said...
"Not only was it wise and good public policy, in terms of safety and security, it's also ... one of the most popular things our government has done - just so you know where the majority of the public stands on this issue".
We beg to differ. The majority do not support this ban. We beg to differ. Every major animal welfare organization throughout Canada, the United States AND in the U.K. has vehemently opposed the Ontario ban. On the record. In writing. That's such a big lie that McGuinty's nose might reach from here to China. (Dalton - we'll be sending you for a time out.)
I couldn't resist that headline - am I bad? Too bad it's true. The second phase of Ontario's Bill 132 starts this week & now requires the full elimination - really the extermination (or should we call this Michael Bryant's Final Solution ) of all pitbull puppies.
Evil Pit Bull Puppies Must Die!
So starting now - Nov. 27th - all pitbull puppies born in the Province of Ontario - those matching the AKC or UKC descriptions of the breeds - or any mix thereof - or any dog resembling the breed - anything with the word Bull or Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, or any of the bully breeds - will meet the following fate: All PIT BULL PUPPIES MUST DIE!
Hear Ye, Hear Ye - Michael Bryant and Dalton McGuinty have declared these puppies a danger to society, a menace to the middle classes, and have by Her Majesty's witness, declared that evil pitbull puppies must die AND...........
- Puppies must be destroyed (killed, exterminated, euthanized) or
- Puppies must be sent to a research facility (a fate worse than death?) or
- Puppies must be sent out of the Province (by some magical means or in a body bag?)
Bill 132 - Created By Evil
No - not that Dr. Evil (a nice guy) - we mean the OTHER Dr. Evil - Michael Bryant, Ontario's Attorney General, AKA McGuinty's boot-licking, puppy-killing henchman, silly. Bill 132 was created as a means to evade growing social and criminal problems in the Province. Bill 132 passed the Ontario Provincial Parliament with a down-the-party-line vote. That would be Canada's Liberal Party - the one so plagued with scandal and failure that the Canadian Government was toppled earlier this week in a history-making no confidence vote. McGuinty's administration is in shambles , his popularity is down the drain on the heels of enormous tax increases and broken campaign promises.
Dump Bill 132 (And McGuinty & Bryant, Too)
Dog owners in Canada can't wait for the next Ontario Provincial elections and just may be the tipping point. They're focused on toppling the Liberals here - they're already organizing to boot McGuinty and Bryant from office, along with every provincial MPP who voted for Bill 132. And the Banned Aid Coalition - a group of Canadian dog organizations - is fighting to overturn this piece of @!!$#*&!legislation - so donate and please be generous - is mounting an appeal.
Kill This Puppy!
Go on Dalton - do it! Whaddya, chicken? (I'm sooooo wicked ;-)) In what could become a political PR nightmare in Canada and abroad - these two politicians may never be able to remove the stain of puppy blood from their hands or reputations.
Now that Puppy Killers McGuinty & Bryant have earned the hatred of dog lovers in Canada and indeed throughout the world, we can only wish that they get what they deserve - either in this life or the next.
Don't let any politician take away your dog. Take a stand against breed bans in Ontario, and give fellow dog owners there your support. Politicians in the U.S. point to Ontario as the validiation for bringing forth breed bans here. Wherever you live, whichever type of dog you own - make sure politicians like these get what they deserve when elections do roll around - Give Them The Boot! & tell 'em My Dog Votes!
