Canadian Liberals Got The Boot - Did Dog Owners Tip The Election?
It was a pretty big wake up call for the Liberal Party in Canada on Monday. Canadian voters gave the Liberals the boot in federal elections on Monday, giving the Conservative Party the majority for the first time in 13 years. That's just for openers.
Voter Backlash By Dog Owners?
The Liberal Party may have been experiencing a voter backlash by the biggest political constituency you never heard of - dog owners. Yep - that's what I said. Think that's funny -Funny, like Ha Ha Funny? Well, Liberals may have thought it was funny too - betcha they ain't laughin' now.
Bill 132 - The Tipping Point
While many in Canada are angry over the Liberal Party's failure to control spending, violent crime and a whole host of issues, oh yeah - and there's that pesky new tax that everyone hates - there's one issue that has touched the dog-owning community like no other - Bill 132.
Hated By Dog Lovers
Created by Ontario's Attorney General Michael Bryant under the Dalton McGuinty administration, Bill 132 has become the touchstone for dog owners both in the federal election AND in the upcoming provincial elections.
McGuinty and Bryant are forever branded as Canada's "Puppy Killers", as Bill 132 aims to exterminate the entire bully breed population in the province, and fails to address the core issues - corruption, criminal activity, guns, drugs, violence, etc.
That's a problem. A big problem. Every dog-owning Canadian I've spoken to - even if they have been aligned with the Liberal Party - plans to cross those same party lines in the upcoming 2007 Provincial elections. Hello!
Angry Dog Owners
Considering the enormity of dog-owning households - would you say over 40% in Canada? - well I'd say the Liberals should be worried.
Because dog owners are so PISSED, they can't wait to give the people responsible for Bill 132 the "The Boot". That includes Michael Bryant and Dalton McGuinty and the rest of Liberal Party MPP's who voted along party lines for the infamous Bill 132.
And that my dear readers, would mean dog owners are crossing party lines to vote them out. That my dear readers would mean dog owners could be and have become single issue voters. Crime may be high, taxes may be crazy, but when you mess with my dog - you mess with me. In other words, My Dog Votes.
Yo - Dalton McGuinty and Michael Bryant - I'm talkin' to you. Canadian voters have a message for you..... Here it is:

Ontario Liberals just received another taste of dog owners wrath.
Three by-elections held last week lost their Liberal seats. The balance of the Fiberals power in Ontario, is turning.
Provincial elections in 2007?
GAME ON!

Yes...I didn't just "not vote for the Liberals", I actively campaigned against them! (buttons, t-shirts, the whole 9)
Their tactics, as a party, are the exact unethical and dishonest actions that forced the passage of Bill 132. Only the Liberal PARTY could have passed Bill 132; not invididual politicians or supporters. Many Liberals would have voted against the bill if they hadn't been required...by the Liberal Party...to vote in favour of it.
It is no accident that Liberals, and only Liberals, voted in favour of Bill 132. The behaviour of Liberal members of the Standing Committee were childish and dishonest, as well.
I am practically salivating as I wait for my chance to hold the individual politicians who passed Bill 132 accountable for their dastardly deeds. Seriously! Bring it! 2007 can't get here soon enough!!!
(And you can bet the full complement of educational materials and campaigns will come out for that one! We held back for the federal election because they weren't "directly" responsible. The Ontario Liberal MPP's should be afraid. Very afraid.)
However, Torontonians have a mayoral election to think about this fall. Current Toronto Mayor, David Miller (a not-so-secret Liberal supporter, and probably future-wannabe-Liberal MP or MPP) is on record as having said this about the 'pit bull' ban when it was proposed:
"I support the province's swift action," said David Miller, Mayor of Toronto. "This problem is not exclusive to any single municipality, it is a province-wide issue and therefore the best solution is a province-wide strategy to keep Ontarians safe from dangerous dogs ('pit bulls')."
Every honest and ethical person should vote against David Miller, on this point alone. He obviously doesn't care about facts, truth, or the civil liberties of law-abiding citizens.

Not content with killing the dogs belonging to their own citizens, the Ontario Liberals are also prepared to seize and kill the dogs of any unwitting tourists who pass through Ontario, as well as charge the owners. If convicted, they may face up to six months in jail AND a $10,000 fine. There are no exemptions for tourists.
Please boycott Ontario and urge your friends to do the same. There are nine other provinces with better scenery and nicer people, so why travel to Ontario?
Why they came up with this evil plan is baffling - why they can't see that it will lead to their downfall proves they have let their arrogance get in the way of their (limited) intelligence.
Can't wait until 2007 - Bye Bye, dog haters. We will start campaigning soon to help to ensure a suitable outcome for these murderous malefactors.
We plan to Give 'em the Boot!!!!!

I crossed party lines in the federal election and will in the 2007 provincial election. I'm a second-class citizen in Ontario thanks to Messrs. McGuinty and Bryant, so I'm going to bite back - hard - when their jobs are up for renewal.
I refuse to be oppressed because of the property I own, without having committed any offence.
I refuse to accept that I have fewer rights than murderers, drug dealers, gangsters and pedophiles.
Watch yer assets, Fibs. There are a lot of dog owners prepared to bite you hard.

Let this be a message to politicians, never mind the dog,it is the OWNERS that bite.
Responsible dog owners have tried for decades to educate the general public, the media and politicians alike.
Responsible dog owners have worked tirelessly alongside credible authoritative canine and scientific organizations and still, the media, ignorant politicnas and the uneducated public in general, continue to kill our dogs with BSL.
Well, the time has come to put our cards,or shall I say our dog tags on the table and use what power we have.It is time for all dog owners to drop the petty differences in their breed prefernece and fight like never before to stop the endless slaughter of our friends and companions.
