Jackie Speier - Dog-Hating Wicked Witch Of The West To Ride For Congress

This is an urgent message for Dog-Loving Dems in California, it's time to hit the Yellow Brick Road that leads to the voting booth.

Today's Huffington Post is reporting that Jackie Speier - that dog-hating Wicked Witch Of The West, plans to pick up her broomstick for a flight to D.C. in a bid for Congress, running against fellow Dem Tom Lantos.

HP blogger Michelle Krauss writes,

"...... the highly regarded former state Senator is flying around looking for a landing spot, regardless of its impact or potential damage to the Democratic House leadership or one of the country's great spokespeople on human rights. Didn't she learn the tough lesson this last year when she went head-to-head in the race for Lt. Governor and lost -- bloodied and costing thousands of dollars from her affluent donor base in Hillsborough".

Michelle Kraus is urging Jackie to lay down her broomstick , and thinking that her run against Tom Lantos is bad for the Democratic Party.  Michelle - we couldn't agree more.

I'll Get You My Pretty - And Your Little Pitbulls Too

California dog owners - ESPECIALLY those with targeted breeds - still have that bitter taste in their mouths over Ms. Speier's political stunt that deliberately circumvented California's prohibition against breed-specific legislation-  a whopper of political opportunism called SB 861.

Stirring her cauldron of political tricks, Jackie's SB861 allows individual municipalities to create their own local breed-specific measures.

You'll recall that Jackie took to the skies over Sacremento, shouting "I'll get you my pretty , and your little pitbulls too!"

All of the Wicked Witch of the West's Democratic soldiers marched to her order's to exterminate pitbulls from the Land Of Odds,  and SB 861 passed in a party line split.  That day, Democrats darkened the skies for all good Munckins, who cowered in fear as their dogs would be banned or surrendered by this backdoor to BSL.

Gavin Is A Flying Monkey

Jackie, along with her Flying Monkey pal Gavin Newsom, will long be remembered as the Breed Exterminators that sold good dogs and good owners down the river.

That's because FlyBoy Gavin was Jackie's biggest supporter on SB 861.  He may have been her wingman, but  there will come a day when dog owners recognize a slimebag in a monkey suit. 

Now Jackie Speier is so hated by dog-owning Dems - they actually went out in force to defeat her in her bid for Lt. Governor, and lots of them posted their I Hate Jackie comments here.  Dog-owning Dems blew Jackie and her broomstick out of the sky in that election, and some even vowed to cross party lines, and many cheered her defeat.

Meanwhile Republicans in Cali were visiting our blog for a daily dog of Jackie bashing, and probably having quite a snicker.

Drop A House On Her Plans

Before Jackie Speier takes to the skies once more, dog-owning Dems in California should drop a big house on her plans for run for Congress - make that a really big house , oh and make sure Jackie's toes curl up underneath and shrivel away.

Here's a message to all dog-owning Dems:

Bring me the broom of the Dog-Hating Wicked Witch Of The West.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Spears' and Levine's "friends" at ADL, These guys are basically the CA headquarters for the domestic terrorist group Animal Liberation Front.
This is probably why ADL-LA leaders Jerry Vlasic (ALF press officer) and
wife Pamela Ferdin (the voice of Lucy on the Peanuts
cartoons) appeared at the AR2007 convention in July, but were
unusually silent...Vlasik's previous quotes include:

“"I don't think you'd have to kill -- assassinate -- too many ... I think for 5 lives, 10 lives, 15 human lives, we could save a million, 2 million, 10 million non-human lives."

"If someone is killing, on a regular basis, thousands of animals, and if that person can only be stopped in one way by the use of violence, then it is certainly a morally justifiable solution."

"It won't ruin our movement if someone gets killed in an animal rights action. It's going to happen sooner or later. The Animal Liberation Front, the Earth Liberation Front -- sooner or later there's going to be someone getting hurt. And we have to accept that fact. It's going to happen. LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky
Delgadillo today announced that his office has secured
additional penalties against the Animal Defense
League-Los Angeles (ADL-LA) for violating terms and
conditions of a current probation.

ADL-LA was determined by Judge Stuart M. Rice to have
committed three separate violations of its probation
stemming from a May 2007 conviction for actions
related to the harassment and intimidation of City
employees. The terms of the 36 month probation placed
on ADL-LA in May 2007 restrict the organization’ s
officers, directors, members or agents from annoying,
harassing, threatening, stalking, or committing any
act of force or violence against employees of the
City’s Department of Animal Services named in the plea
agreement.

After three days of testimony and the submission of
briefs, Judge Rice found ADL-LA guilty of committing
two violations of its probation by engaging in
targeted protesting and unlawfully using amplified
sound at the home of Ed Boks, the general manager of
the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, on June
2. ADL-LA was also found guilty of having committed a
third violation of its probation by unlawfully using
amplified sound while protesting at the home of Maria
Blackman, the ex-wife of Deputy Mayor Jimmy Blackman,
on June 16. ADL-LA was ordered to pay a $1,500 fine,
plus penalty assessments, and was also instructed that
that certain images of Los Angeles Department of
Animal Services officials be removed from an official
ADL-LA website according to Deputy City Attorney
Spencer Hart who handled the case. A progress report
date has been set for August 31, 2007.

While I agree with your sentiment, I do not like all of this rhetoric about wicked witches and dropping a house on her. That sort of rhetoric is vile. There is a reason Ann Coulter is hated by so many, and it's because she talks like that. I would recommend against following down that path.

Robin, Talk with the Republicans see who they are going to run in the main event. If it is a dog friendly person I suggest a two prong approach.
1. Defeat Spiers in primary because we have to teach them we are now one issue voters and if you touch that electric rail you have just destroyed your political career FOREVER.
2. After the primary move over and drum up support for the Republican and make sure very dog/cat/fish/horse/bird person you know knows exactly why.

Speier is bad, but Lantos is no angel. We in the biomedical community have watched for years as he supports AR rhetoric against research on animals. Maybe one of our readers will run?
