If you can't take the heat - send in a corporate bully!
PETA's legal muscle, Jeffrey S. Kerr, has sent blogger and journalist Gina Spadafori at PetConnecton.com a letter demanding a retraction and apology for what they deem as a "false, malicious and defamatory" statement
she made on her blog, that PETA killed 97% of animals "in search of new homes" in 2006.
And the part PETA wants Ms. Spadafori to apologize for "falsely" saying that the animals were "in search of new homes" - NOT that they killed 97% of them.
That's right. PETA wants to make sure that everyone CLEARLY understands that these animals - all 97% if them - were deemed "unadoptable", and therefor NOT "in search of new homes".
PETA does not deny killing all 97% of those animals. In fact - PETA says they killed all them out of kindness - that PETA helped to end their "suffering".
I guess that's why they make the big bucks, raking in all those donations to Kill, Kill, Kill.
Let's review, shall we? According to PETA - adoption is not an option, and killing then chilling is really quite thrilling.
And if PETA doesn't like what you have to say in your blog - they'll be sure to send a corporate lawyer after you to to put a chill your First Amendment right to Free Speech.
So remember kids, send all your pennies to PETA - that way they can kill 100% of the animals next year!
Now for your viewing pleasure, here's a video that PETA fans won''t want to miss!

I was just wondering where you found the wonderful PeTA banners? I'd love to use one on my Dogster page. So many people just do not get how ridiculous PeTA is.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Feel free to copy & distribute the PETA banners found on this site. These banners constitute critical commentary and fall under the Fair Use doctrine and are protected as Free Speech.

This is sickening. I made a comment about this same exact thing on my blog and PETA hasn't come after my First Amendment right yet. I wonder if I should be expecting that.

I never knew PETA was like that until i came to this site. I was so upset and offened that they said people just get pits to look cool. My self, my vet and my trainer all have pits. My 5 year old loves our dog to death, i would never use my dog as a loaded gun. Makes me sick they say that kind of stuff. What can i do about them wanting to get rid of Pit Bulls? Is there a website i can go to? I live in Virginia and i seen PETA had a headquarters in VA. I can't stand just siting here and them treating Pit owners like crap. Makes me sick to see what they did to all those animals. Thank you for this website. For opening my eyes. I always thought they were well respected. I was WRONG!

If GP retracts her words, I will give up all my dogs. Obviously she will never have to retract anything because Peta has painted their little tribe into a corner on that one. But I suspect that Peta has only been allowed to exist this long for other reasons. Bigger fish.
